This week in work I have been taking support calls and resolving issues that come through. This has improved my understanding of the company because it forces me to ask questions when I am unsure of how to fix issues or what the process is to do so. I have also been added into the implementation team to start to try to fix some of the smaller queries. Both of these jobs have allowed me to develop my communication skills with external clients.

This week at escalla we did our induction. Although most of it was common sense and things I have already learnt with it being 5 months into my apprenticeship, I was good to refresh my knowledge of health and safety etc... I did learn the British values, which I didn't know existed, which are: Democracy, Rule of law, Individual liberty and mutual respect. It was also interesting to see how easily some people would get radicalised online. Throughout the week I completed my tests to gain certificates to show I am not bias in any way.

This week we finally managed to complete our citizenship project! The task handed to us was quite challenging due to the amount of design work needed and Sam being the only one comfortable using photo shop.  I enjoyed getting to know the others a lot more now people have started to talk. Today in work I have finished my citizenship project report and completed the reading tasks I was assigned to complete before my next progress check.

This week I have been responding to client's requests for QR codes on skyvisitor and helping with any other queries they might have had. This has been helpful to develop my communicative skills when talking to clients. I have also been taking a codecademy course on python which was fun. I helped one of our testers to figure out a problem so we could put forward a solution.

This week I have done some self study of Python and Javascript on codecademy. My knowledge of both languages syntax has greatly increased throughout the week. I have also spent some time setting up surface pros for clients. I had a chance to remote onto clients PCs this week which was a new task to complete. I had to do this to manually check people in for a specific client on our skybooker software.

This week at work I have been given a large project to work through throughout my apprenticeship. I will  be testing every skytouch profile on a new version of skytouch to see if it looks and functions correctly. I have also started working through the digital communications course on openlearn. I completed some hardware testing too this week. I had to test 3 printers that had been sent back from a client who claimed that they would print slowly. To fix this issue I just needed to update the printer software to a later version.

This week at work, I have worked with Luke in ID bureau so I can learn what the process is if someone needs to cover the position. I also started doing one of the Open University courses of digital communication which has been quite similar to my A-level electronics course. Recently, I have been setting up surface go's, surface pro's and surface books so they can be sent out to clients are ready to use straight out of the box. As well as setting up, I was tasked with testing some surface pro's and scanners which were sent back to us to try to locate the problem.
